Unfortunately Yours (A Vine Mess #2)

by Tessa Bailey

5 out of 5 stars

Tessa Bailey has truly outdone herself with her latest novel, "Unfortunately Yours". This delightful rom-com, set in the scenic Napa Valley, is a refreshing take on the marriage of convenience trope that will leave you laughing, swooning, and eagerly turning the pages.

Natalie Vos is an heiress who's had a run of bad luck. After losing her job and her fiancé, she returns home to Napa Valley with a plan to start anew. But there's a catch - she needs to marry to access her trust fund and finance her new business venture. Enter August Cates, a vineyard owner who's in over his head and in desperate need of a loan to save his late best friend's legacy.

Natalie and August are a match made in banter heaven. Their chemistry is palpable, and their witty exchanges are some of the best I've read. They're like two sides of the same coin - constantly clashing, yet undeniably drawn to each other.

What sets "Unfortunately Yours" apart from Bailey's first book of the "A Vine Mess" series, "Secretly Yours", is the depth and realism of the characters.

Natalie is not just a spoiled heiress, but a woman determined to make her own way. August is not just a clueless vineyard owner, but a man committed to honoring his friend's legacy. Their relationship is a roller coaster of emotions, with highs and lows that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

While "Secretly Yours" was a decent read, "Unfortunately Yours" takes things to a new level. The characters are more developed, the plot is more intricate, and the romance is more intense... oh, and the spice? It's Tessa Bailey at her best.

In conclusion, "Unfortunately Yours" is a must-read for any romance lover. It's a book that will make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings, and leave you eagerly awaiting Bailey's next masterpiece.
