Shady Hollow - Book Review

by Juneau Black

4 out of 5 stars

This was different than the murder mysteries I am used to. I really enjoyed this whimsical ‘whodunit’ that takes place in Shady Hollow. The characters are all woodland creatures, civilized of course. The clever creativity of the characters and world building keeps you interested as you get to know the characters while the plot unravels. In many ways it’s very similar to your ‘run of the mill’ (pun intended) murder mystery. You’ll be on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the killer is, and Black does a great job bringing a number of suspects to the line up. I’m looking forward to reading the other works the series.
