Rachel Caine’s Stillhouse Lake Series is one of my all time favorites:
Stillhouse Lake introduces us to Gwen Procter - formally Gina Royal, wife of serial killer Melvin Royal.
Gwen is in hiding after she is publicly accused of being an accomplice to her husbands many crimes despite being found not guilty in court.
Gwen not only has to protect herself from the negative opinions that the public holds, after her case is dropped, but her two children as well.
Gwen can run, but she can’t hide in this thrilling series about finding your strength, facing your fears, and taking a stand.
Rachel Caine unfortunately passed away in November 2020 after a battle with soft tissue sarcoma. Her 5th book in the Stillhouse Lake series, Heartbreak Bay was finished by Caine before her passing.
Book 6, Trapper Road was written by Carrie Ryan based off of notes and outlines left by Rachel Caine.
I strongly suggest this series if you are a fan of thrillers and suspense!
